Puppy grooms
Bringing a new puppy home to your family is one of the most wonderful, exciting experiences and as new owners you want to do all the right things for your new pup. Sometimes it can be a bit daunting but we are here to help.
In our many years of experience puppies that are introduced to as many new experiences from an early age adapt and accept them with a lot more ease and confidence.
Some breeds of dogs will require more professional grooming than others but whatever the breed early introduction to a salon is such an important part of their socialisation and learning. Some breeds may need grooming every 6 weeks of their lives so the sooner the process is introduced the easier it will be for your dogs, yourself and your groomer.
With some of the larger/heavier breeds of dogs we cannot recommend enough the importance of these puppy introductions. This is because they tend to not adapt to the grooming environment as easy when they are older. They are bigger, heavier and stronger at this stage and we have to think of the health and safety of our team as a strong breed can become difficult if not salon aware. Visiting us when they are puppies allows us help teach them the grooming process making it a pleasurable and happy experience for them. Even small basic details like teaching them to sit, stand and turn for their groom is a huge benefit for large breeds, It is more comfortable and safe for the dogs and alot less wear and tear or even possible injury for the groomers. For some stronger breeds that have not been introduced at a young age it may even prevent us being able to groom them as adults in the future for this reason.
We always encourage and highly recommend puppy grooming sessions. Sometimes just a simple bath, groom, nails and tidy of eyes, feet or any hygiene areas is a great learning experience for them. It helps get them used to being handled, brushed or even experience different noises, sights and smells of a salon
We recommend their first session to be a quieter appointment slot, we are happy to advise the best appointment times to suit your individual puppy’s needs. We have various treats and toys but if you prefer they can bring their own.
We will also help you as owners during these sessions and guide you on your grooming journey. The more you can help with at home the easier it will be for you and your pup to keep them comfortable and maintained inbetween their professional grooms.
Your pup will be with us for 1 to 1.5 hours. We can either arrange a collection time or a phone call if preferred. We recommend that all puppies can come to visit, soon after they have finished their vaccination course.

PUPPY SCHOOL PACKAGES
These packages are perfect if you are looking for a schedule to get yourself and your puppy started on their grooming journey.
We offer the 4 grooms at a discounted price. You pay and book your pup’s appointment upfront so you will have a pre booked schedule for them which is so beneficial at this young age as
it helps so much when it comes to their future grooms. They build a bond and trust with their groomer and you as their owners can get to know us and gives you the opportunity to ask questions and guidance along the way.
The Puppy package includes:

🐾 Printed photo of your pup
🐾 A bow tie or flower for your pups collar
