Our Services
All our groomers work on a one to one basis with your dog. This allows the dog to bond with their groomer and build a trusting relationship. If you would like a specific groomer for your dog this can of course be requested.
The option we are also lucky to have is that although we work as individuals we always have another groomer on hand if needed. This can especially be beneficial for dogs who need a little more support and reassurance during their groom. We can offer quieter appointment slots
for those who require them or some dogs may work better with distraction. Each dog has an individual personality and requirements and we can adapt where necessary.
The appointment will consist of a pre-bath check of the skin and coat condition so we can use the appropriate shampoo and conditioner best suited for their skin and coat type . We use high quality natural products as we strongly feel to achieve the very best grooms the products used play an essential part.

We then give your dog a warm, massaging bath and coat condition to get them squeaky
clean. After a good rub down with a towel we use a combination of our dryers that your dog is comfortable with to completely dry and fully groom the coat, making it free from any tangles (please note if the tangles have become to tight to safely and comfortably groom we may have to clip them off to prevent discomfort and possible skin problems caused by matting, this will be discussed with you beforehand, please see our matting policy)
Once the coat has been fully prepared we can then style your dog to the haircut previously discussed with yourself, making your dog comfortable and looking beautiful. We can groom to the breed standard or adapt to your personal requirements.
We finish with a spritz of one of our natural fragrances which compliment the shampoo to keep them smelling as gorgeous as they look.
All grooms include complimentary nail clipping where it is required but please bear in mind that not all nails need clipping and we are limited on how short we can cut them. If for any reason we are unable to perform this safely we will inform you and give advise on alternative solutions.
It is now recommended by the RCVS that groomers do not express anal glands or pluck dogs ears unless requested by your vet. Please check with you own veterinary surgeon if you are unsure or need advice on these matters. We can clean excess wax on the outer surface of the ear if required using a gentle ear cleaner and pluck hairs that come away with ease and causing no discomfort for your dog.
Our Packages
De shedding
(Approx 1 to 1.5 hours for this service)
These grooms are recommended for all those dogs with moulting, smooth haired coats.We use a de shedding shampoo which will open the pores to loosen the hairs folices.
We blast the undercoat with high velocity dryers. These not only massage the skin but blow out all that unwanted dead moulting hair.
We then groom and de shed your dog which will dramatically reduce the amount of hair shedding on your carpets. (Please note that sometimes it takes a couple of days for the shedding to calm down)
If you wanted to go for an added bit of luxury onto your dogs de shed we highly recommend one of mud bath spa treatments. This mud treatment nourishes your dogs skin and coat. It includes a full 10 minute massage and will keep the shedding at bay for longer. It also smells divine and provides extra nutrients for your dogs coat and skin. An added bit of luxury.
Full groom
(Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for this service.)
This is the full works, inclusive of everything from a lovely warm bath to the finished hair style. We either use clippers and/or hand scissoring to obtain the style that best suits your dog.
To keep your dog maintained in a style we would recommend they are trimmed regularly. Each breed of dog and the style they have will determine how often they should visit their groomer. Some wool coated breeds may need to come as often as 4 to 6 weekly to keep them comfortable and to prevent matting. These are things to consider when choosing styles. Generally speaking the longer the style you have, the more frequently your dog will need a professional groom. We are very happy to help discuss options with you to suit your lifestyle and budgets and to guide you on brushing your dog at home to help keep them maintained inbetween their professional grooms.
Hand stripping
(This service generally takes around 2 hours.)
Hand stripping is when the coat is hand stripped rather than the use of clippers to obtain a style. This is where dead hair is taken out and the new undercoat is left. Hand stripping is to help keep the colour and texture of the dog’s coat and used on some breeds where clipping may change this.
Hormone changes after neutering can also change the dog’s coat texture, so hand stripping may not always be an option. To successfully hand strip your dog, the coat must be ready with dead hair coming out easily to avoid discomfort. Not all dogs are suitable for handstripping and we will only handstrip dogs whose coats and temperaments allow us to do this comfortably.
We sometimes have to advise we bath the dog a few weeks after their handstrip rather than on the day of their groom, this can be discussed where necessary. We do not use conditioners or fragrances on a hand strip coat.
Handstripping can be a complicated process and requires commitment from the owners to achieve a good coat . There are plenty of very good alternative options if we cannot strip them which we are happy to discuss. Please contact us for any further advice.
Bath & Brush
(This service usually takes 1 to 2.5 hours.)
We offer this service to clients who don’t necessarily want a haircut but a bath and full brush out to help keep their dog’s skin and coat clean , healthy and to help prevent matting .We remove any tangles before they become too difficult to brush out thus keeping your dog looking beautiful. We also offer a feet , eye and hygiene trim is required included in these packages. They can come in as often as you feel necessary. Especially useful for those muddy months!
